Menstrual cramps are the worst
Extreme cramps will have you lying on the ground and wishing to die. Menstrual cramps, or primary dysmenorrhea, are an uncomfortable part of life for many women on a monthly basis. Period cramps occur when levels of chemicals called prostaglandins rise, causing uterine contractions, inflammation, and pain. Here are some things that can help you with the pain.
1. Tea and lemon
Squeeze some lemon juice into hot tea and drink it. It helps to relieve the pain. However, you should only take it on the first day of your period, because it causes your flow to be heavier.

2. Use a hot water bottle
Fill a hot water bottle with boiling water and place it against your abdomen. If you don’t have access to a hot water bottle, fill a sock with raw rice and pop it in the microwave until it’s hot, then place on your abdomen.

4. Exercise
This is probably not what you want to hear, but it is scientifically proven that exercising helps to relieve the pain. Engage in some light exercise like walking, and you’d definitely have some relief.
5. Avoid certain foods
Your diet plays a huge role in how you feel during your period. It’s a good idea to avoid foods that cause bloating and water retention. Some of the biggest culprits include fatty foods, alcohol, carbonated drinks, caffeine and salty foods.
6. Drink water
Water can bring you great relief. It might sound odd, but drinking water keeps your body from retaining water and helps to avoid painful bloating during menstruation. Warm or hot water is usually better for cramps, as hot liquids increase blood flow to your skin and may relax cramped muscles.
