There are certain love stories that have to be read. I mean, have to be read. They are tender, touching, passionate and a must-read for anyone. There is a love story behind this world's young billionaire.  Any woman would die to marry someone like him. He would have gotten married to any of the most influential women of recent times but he chose to be unique. For the world, Priscilla Chan is just a mediocre woman but for Zuckerberg she is his world. Zuckerberg proved the whole world that true love does exist.

In the mood for a great love story?

Mark met Priscilla :)

He began dating Priscilla Chan in 2003. She's from Boston and the daughter of Chinese-Vietnamese refugees. Mark Zuckerberg met Priscilla Chan, a sophomore from Boston, at a party hosted by Mark’s fraternity in 2003. In an interview with The New Yorker, Chan said that the couple met while waiting in line for the bathroom at a party hosted by Mr Zuckerberg's fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi.

Soon, these two students at Harvard, started dating each other. After some time, Mark took another major decision of his life; he dropped out to run his company, then titled- The Facebook. They fell in love when Zuckerberg was nothing but a college student, and they are still in love when he has become a multi-billionaire. Priscilla who specializes in paediatrics, was the one who inspired Zuckerberg to promote organ donation on Facebook.

Despite the distance and Mark’s inherent workaholic attitude, Priscilla always stood by him. Their love for each other and bond of commitment was much stronger than any fame or fortune. And yes, she is also one of the first people to join Facebook (February 5, 2005). Their love was so strong that when Mark moved to California, Priscilla too shifted there and became a medical student at the University of California.

Some Lesser known Facts:

In September 2010, Zuckerberg invited Chan, who was medical student at the University of California, San Francisco at the time, to move into his rented Palo Alto house. Before moving in, she gave him a "Relationship Contract" which stated "One date per week, a minimum of a hundred minutes of alone time, not in his apartment and definitely not at Facebook.

"Before meeting Chan's family in China in December 201, he studied Mandarin.

He designed his wife's Priscilla Chan's wedding ring, which is a ruby flanked on either side by diamonds. The ring is reportedly worth $25,000, even though he was worth about $19 billion at the time.

The couple got married on May 19, 2012. The wedding was small and intimate with less than 100 guests who snacked on Mexican and Japanese food from the couple's favourite local restaurants; Palo Alto Sol and Fuki Sushi.

The Mexican meals were valued at a modest $7.50 each. Dessert was a selection of mice-shaped chocolate from Burdick Chocolate priced at just over $3 each. It was a sweet the couple had eaten on their first date.

He is the first person under 30 to make one of the nation's largest philanthropic gift. In 2013, Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan gave 18 million shares of Facebook stock to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

First, Priscilla Chan knew Mark before he is well known as a billionaire.

The love story of their first encounter has been spread by many. It was happened during a party hosted by Mark’s fraternity in 2003. Surprisingly, it took place at an odd place, the waiting lines where people take restrooms.

Later, Mark made another major decision of his life; he dropped out of school to run his enterprise, and titled it the Facebook. Mark later invited Chan to his company, Chan granted and gave him a lollipop as the token of love.

Second, although Chan’s parents are refugee, she is a very aspiring and independent girl.

Third, after Chan got married with Mark, she said that the money from Mark was not worth of being arrogant, because those are belong to her husband.

Together, Chan and Mark share the same goal and became major donors, up till now they have given hundreds of millions to support education. The couple also announced they will be putting $120 million as public funds for San Francisco public schools. Now after their daughter Max’s birth, they are even determined to donate up to 99% of Facebook shares for the equality and love. This decision is mostly supposed by Chan, she is very kindhearted.
