‘5-0 Chelsea incoming,’ ‘Disaster’ – Arsenal fans nervously react to bad news ahead of FA Cup final

Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are nervously anticipating tomorrow’s FA Cup final with Chelsea, where the Gunners are generally considered to be big underdogs.

Arsene Wenger’s side enter the game on the back of disappointment in the Premier League campaign, where a finish outside the top-four has left the Gunners preparing for a campaign without Champions League football for the first time in two decades.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are eyeing a double after lifting the Premier League last weekend, securing a record-equalling 30 wins in the process, and their chances of securing further success tomorrow have been significantly boosted following injury news for Arsenal.

Defenders Shkodran Mustafi and Gabriel Paulista are set to miss out through injury, whilst Laurent Koscielny is also unavailable following his red card last weekend. To top it off, both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs are carrying issues, although both are expected to be passed fit.

That means Arsenal could be forced to revert to a four-man defence for tomorrow’s clash, or utilise Nacho Monreal centrally, and Per Mertesacker is set to make his first start for the Gunners in over a year – and fans are less than impressed with the injury news.
