Arsenal Target Dubs Gunners’ Interest “Cool” But Won’t Be Distracted

Norway international Sander Berge admits it was "cool" to hear about interest from Arsenal, but insists he is not paying much attention to the reports linking him with the Gunners.
Berge was only snapped up by Belgian side Genk earlier this year and the club have made clear they are determined to keep hold of the midfielder, even in the face of interest from Arsenal and Sevilla.
Genk feel the midfielder has much more development left in the tank, while he is also a key man in coach Albert Stuivenberg's plans for next season .
Berge himself is not being distratcted by talk the Gunners want him and insists he is fully focused on kicking on in his career in Belgium.
"I want taken by surprise when the news [of Arsenal's interest] came out" , Berge said to TV2 .
"It was cool to hear about Arsenal, but I did not respond with 'wow, I'm going to Arsenal and this is true'. I just get on with my everyday life.
"I really do not care so much about it. I will take it as it comes.
"I am prepared to join up with Genk for pre-season on 5th July."
Berge, just 19, was snapped up by Genk from Norwegian side Valerenga in the winter transfer window this year, putting pen to paper to a four-year contract.
His performances in Belgium saw him quickly handed a senior Norway debut, with his bow coming in March.
