Manchester United have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for Alvaro Morata this summer, according to Italian news outletTransferMarketWeb.
He’s been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho has allegedly called him to ensure him of his role in the side.
Reports also claim Ander Herrera and David De Gea have persuaded him to make the move to Man United whilst on international duty for Spain.
An initial offer of around £52m was turned down by the Spanish club and it looks like both parties have finally agreed to a deal as Morata seems set to make the switch to Old Trafford.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently released by the club following his serious knee injury, the club are desperate for a new striking talent and will be hoping to push through a deal as quickly as possible to avoid a potential transfer saga.
Morata will be an exceptional addition at United and although many believe he hasn’t got the talent to make it at Old Trafford after playing behind Karim Benzema at Madrid, it’s clear that the Spaniard desperately needs a run of games under the manager who knows him best and gave him his debut at the Bernabeu in 2010, the Special One.
