Even though we finally received the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War a couple months back, fans are dying to see more teasers before the big team-up flick storms cinemas. Of course, we’ll surely get another full trailer or two before opening weekend arrives, but in the meantime, things are beginning to heat up, with a Marvel Cinematic Universe recap video and international teaser surfacing just the other week. Not to mention that huge troll from the studio, too.
Naturally, Infinity War also has a ton of tie-in merchandise to go along with it and as we inch closer and closer to its release, some of that is starting to surface via leaks. For instance, just the other day, thanks to a Funko POP toy, we got a look at Thor’s new weapon in the movie – Jarnbjorn. But that’s not all, as even more merc has now surfaced and given that it once again comes in the form of figures, it provides lots to dig into.
Of course, the most noteworthy thing here is a detailed look at Cap’s new shield, but let’s dive into the gallery first before we go any further.
Avengers: Infinity War Figures Show Off Cap's New Shield And Reveal Thanos Spoiler
MORE FROM THE WEB
Pretty cool, eh? Beginning with that aforementioned shield, though, it seems to be ditching the round design of Steve’s previous armament and is seemingly a product of Wakanda’s Vibranium-infused arsenal, with its silver, bland color palette only fuelling rumors of Rogers distancing himself from the Captain America moniker.
Elsewhere, Iron Spider is exactly the sleek, superpowered makeover we were rooting for, while Tony Stark’s suit (Model Prime?) has already received the spotlight thanks to previous marketing tie-ins and Proxima Midnight looks absolutely badass. Thanos, meanwhile, seems to have all six Infinity Stones here, which could be seen as a spoiler but I think it’s widely assumed at this point that he will eventually get his hands on them.
And once he does, you can bet that his invasion will have a ripple effect on the remainder of the MCU – regardless of who comes out on top across both Infinity War and Avengers 4. Indeed, there have been rumors that the latter tentpole will act as a soft reboot for the entire franchise, though neither Marvel nor Kevin Feige have offered up any tangible clues as to where the superhero series is headed next – not yet, at least.
